Adjunctuverse is a professional community created to support and empower adjunct faculty in the higher education classroom. Adjunctuverse offers targeted training, collaborative spaces, and professional growth opportunities tailored to the unique needs of adjunct instructors in higher education.
Through dynamic workshops, structured courses, and engaging virtual and in-person mixers, Adjunctuverse brings together both new and seasoned adjunct faculty. Our goal is to foster a space for learning, connection, and innovation—where educators can exchange ideas, elevate their teaching practices, and effectively engage the next generation of students.

The Solid Syllabus
Picture this:
It’s the last week of the semester, and a student walks into your office, eyes wide with panic. “Wait… participation counts toward my grade?” Another frantically scrolls through their emails, insisting, “I didn’t know we had a final project!” And then there’s the classic, “I thought extra credit was unlimited!” If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. A well-crafted syllabus can prevent these last-minute surprises by serving as the ultimate guide—your students' “bible”—for your course. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to design a syllabus that clearly outlines expectations, classroom and institutional policies, and deadlines, ensuring students always know what’s required. By creating a document that is both informative and engaging, you’ll reduce confusion, curb creative excuses (no more “I submitted it, but Canvas must have glitched”), and create a structured learning environment where students feel confident, accountable, and prepared from day one.
